English Language Proficiency (ELP) Dashboard Now Available (11/10/2025)
The Maine DOE recognizes the continued need of the ELP Dashboard to support the meaningful utilization of data to inform instruction for multilingual learners. As reports have transitioned from the traditional PDF version to the ELP Dashboard within the Maine DOE Data Warehouse, the Maine DOE would like to draw attention to the following:

Access to the ELP Dashboard
Superintendents have access to the ELP Dashboard and can designate access to other SAU and school users, as necessary. The Maine DOE recommends that access to the ELP Dashboard be provided initially to data specialists/coordinators, directors/coordinators of multilingual programs, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) educators. To request or amend access permissions for SAU and school staff, please use this form.

How to Use the Reports
The ELP Dashboard provides essential information to support data-driven decision making, enabling SAUs and schools to recognize trends in students’ English language performance. At the SAU and school levels, ELP data should be systematically analyzed to identify patterns of growth, establish equitable goals within strategic plans, and monitor progress toward ELP growth targets, as outlined in each SAU’s Lau Plan, Section 8: Ongoing Program Evaluation.

To ensure a comprehensive understanding of multilingual learner outcomes, ELP data must be intentionally triangulated with multiple sources of evidence and used to guide instructional planning and professional learning initiatives that promote continuous improvement. At the individual student level, the ELP dashboard also provides critical data, such as projected exit grade and year from ESOL services, growth calculations, and target scale scores for the current school year, that should directly inform the development and implementation of Individual Language Acquisition Plans (ILAPs).

FY 25 IDEA Year End Reports Due (11/7/2025)
The FY 25 IDEA Year End Reports are due 11/30/2025. The year end report tracks the expenditures for the first 12 months of the grant 07/01/2024-06/30/2025. You must start a revision to the application in order to complete. Sections to be completed are: Inventory, CEIS, Expenditure Overview for 611 and 619 only expenditures for 07/01/24-06/30/25 (no carryover) At the end of the report there is a place to upload a detailed trail balance for Fund codes 2470 & 2510. Maintenance of Effort and Excess Cost are being calculated outside of Grants4ME currently. Once the data is available in Grants4ME we will reach out to work with SAUs not meeting MOE. FY25 ESEA Performance Report (10/3/2025)
The FY25 ESEA Performance Report pages, in the FY25 ESEA Consolidated Application, are due on 11/14/2025. All invoicing for expenditures through 09/30/2025 must be completed before the SAU can submit the performance report. The ESEA offered a training, which is available at on the ESEA Resources webpage. 
Reminders
Review of 2024-2025 ESSA Dashboard Data Sets (11/10/2025)

Teams within the Maine DOE have completed their review of 2024-2025 chronic absenteeism, Title I status, graduation, post-secondary, and behavior data. These Phase 2 (see below) data sets are now available for school administrative units (SAUs) to review, with the review period ending on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Additional data sets and information related to Maine’s Model of School Support (MMSS) will be released in subsequent phases, as tentatively outlined below:
